Service Description
Take your pottery skills further in our intermediate classes.. Perfect for those with prior wheel throwing or handbuilding experience, this course focuses on refining techniques, improving consistency, and exploring more complex projects Opportunities for growth include: Advanced wheel skills like shaping complex forms, and trimming. Build with refined slab, coil, and combined techniques. Experiment with surface design methods such as layered glazes, slip trailing, and sgraffito. Gain deeper knowledge of clay bodies, glaze application, and firing for professional results. You’ll also have time for self-directed projects, with guidance available when you need it, plus space to explore your own ideas. Tuition includes clay, glazes, firings, and use of studio tools. Classes run for six weeks with 2-hour sessions, and from week two on, you can join an optional open studio hour for extra practice. For students who can confidently center clay or handbuild basic forms and are ready for the next challenge. Spots are limited—sign up today to keep building your craft!
Cancellation Policy
