From crafting your own underglazes to exploring stains and beyond, all materials and supplies will be provided. Embrace the opportunity to infuse your personal touch into your creations, starting with small tiles and later transitioning to cups and planters. Bring a piece of yourself into your artwork by rummaging through your everyday treasures or seeking inspiration from nature during a stroll in the nearby woods. Join us at Washington Street Studios for a day filled with creativity, camaraderie, and the joy of transforming clay into uniquely expressive pieces. Instructor Bio: Meet Deborah Bedwell, a seasoned porcelain potter now calling Frederick home. With a rich background, including 32 years as the executive director of Baltimore Clayworks and a term as president of NCECA, Deb brings a wealth of experience to her craft. Specializing in cone 10 gas-fired functional porcelain while occasionally venturing into hand-built red earthenware, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and fostering creativity in others.
